In recent days thousands demonstrated throughout Israel against the siege on Gaza and the murderous attack on the flotilla.

While the Free Gaza ships get closer and closer to break the illegal blockade, demonstrations throughout the West Bank showed their support for the people of Gaza and the activists on the ships. A special occasion was marked in Ni'ilin, where two years of struggle were celebrated.

Bil'in

This Friday saw the escalation of army violence as two young men suffered head injuries from tear gas projectiles shot at them directly at body height from a short distance.

Demonstrations throughout the west bank commemorated the Nakba day – remembering the disaster inflicted upon the Palestinians by the Zionist forces during the 1948 war.

As time goes by and no end to the occupation seems to be in sight, the popular demonstrations intensify, and more and more villages and towns take on weekly demonstrations. Actions are now no longer limited to Fridays, btu take place throughout the West Bank from Thursday all the way to Sunday.

Nabi Salih

In Nabi Salih, the Israeli army invaded the village in the early hours of the afternoon. Soldiers surrounded the area of the demonstration from the mountain top and road, and attacked protesters using tear gas, stunt grenades and rubber coated metal bullets in a violent attempt to break and disperse the demonstration.
